Is Real Resume Builder completely free?
Yes. Every feature is free with no paywalls or hidden charges: the available professional templates, the resume editor, the ATS checker, the job match tool, and unlimited PDF export. No credit card and no subscription are required.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no signup and no email is required. You can open the builder, create a resume, and download your PDF immediately.
Does the downloaded PDF contain a watermark?
No. PDF downloads are generated in your browser and contain no watermark, logo, or footer. They are regular, high-resolution PDF files you can submit directly to employers.
Where is my resume data stored?
Your resume content is stored only in your browser's localStorage on your own device. It is never uploaded to our servers, and we cannot access, read, or recover your drafts. The site also uses standard, privacy-respecting page-view analytics to understand which pages are most useful.
Can I use the resume builder on mobile?
Yes. The site is fully responsive, so you can create and edit resumes on a phone or tablet, including choosing a template, running an ATS check, and downloading the PDF.
What does the ATS score measure?
The ATS Readiness Score is a transparent heuristic weighted across Contact & Identity (15%), ATS Structure & Formatting (20%), Keywords & Skills (25%), Impact & Experience (25%), and Content & Readability (15%). Job Match is calculated separately when you provide a job description. For uploaded PDFs, PDF Parse Recovery shows how much text our parser successfully recovered. It is guidance, not a score produced by an employer's private ATS.
Does a high ATS score guarantee an interview?
No. The ATS Readiness Score is a guidance tool. It estimates how well your resume follows common structure, keyword, evidence, and readability practices, but it does not guarantee that a resume will pass every employer's applicant tracking system or receive an interview. Hiring decisions depend on many factors beyond formatting.
Can I create multiple versions of my resume?
Yes. You can save multiple drafts and switch between them. Each version can use a different template and be tailored to a different role. Your saved drafts are stored locally in your browser, and you can manage them from the dashboard.
How do I tailor my resume to a job description?
Use the job match tool. Paste the job description, and the tool scores your resume against it, lists the keywords that are missing, and can generate a tailored summary. Add the missing skills and wording where they genuinely apply, then re-run the match to see your score improve.
How can I delete my saved resume?
You can delete an individual draft from the dashboard, or remove all resume data at once by clearing your browser's localStorage. Because your data never leaves your device, we cannot delete it on our end.
